A `Yeah, Right' for Million-Mile Fliers. Some frequent-flying readers are hooting at the million-mile-a-year claims made by some business travelers. By Joe Sharkey. [New York Times: Business]
Curiously, Sharkey does not mention the million-frequent-flier-mile quest of the protagonist of Walter Kirn's Up in the Air (one of the things I enjoyed this summer, about a guy who lives in ''Airworld'' (which has everything he needs), and how he negotiates his life, and which proved to be more ambitious than it let on in the intriguing set up).
