CZECH TELECOM DOWNLOAD SERVICE RAISES COMPETITION CONCERNS
Cesky Telecom has launched a new service called Starzone
that allows customers to download movies, songs and TV shows
for fees ranging from 35 Kc to 60 Kc ($1.30 to $2.30). While
the company is also considering branching out into books,
CDs and other retail areas it has begun to face complaints,
including one to the EU, that the service is unfair to
competitors.
