Man gets jail for selling bootlegged recordings
of bands
A Michigan man was sentenced to 1 1/2 years in prison and
must pay $120,000 for selling bootlegged recordings of
performances by Bob Dylan, Aerosmith, KISS and Bruce
Springsteen. He pleaded guilty in April to unauthorized
trafficking in recordings of live musical performances.

- White House Chief of Staff John Podesta announced proposals to update
wiretapping laws to extend legal protections that apply to telephone calls

disappointed that President Clinton didn't just issue an executive order to
do it. A 'plan' for relaxation of export controls on encryption was on the
