'Julie and Julia': The Servantless American Cook. Julie Powell, a 20-something blogger, takes on Julia Child, hoping to learn about cooking and life. By DAVID KAMP. [NYT > Dining and Wine]

Saw that the Julie/Julia blog was #3 at Salon Blogs yesterday, and it's #2 right now. It's #7 all-time, despite not having been updated regularly since the season after the project finished, and it will probably break the top five behind the new book pub.

We're planning to have Julie visit The Inkwell for a conversation next month. Stay tuned.

Three in Four Koreans.

This article says "three-quarters of Koreans between the ages of seven and 65 use the Internet, the most recent survey shows. Koreanclick and Research International said Wednesday they arrived at the figure by polling 5,000 Koreans. In the survey, 73.8 percent of respondents said they use the Internet more than once a month. Factored to the whole population, that would mean 29.88 million people, 932,000 or 3.2 percent more than last March. The most commonly used services were search, news, games and e-mail. The services that have grown the most were shopping, auction and mini homepages, which were especially popular among housewives".Further,"the population of wireless Internet connection users stood at 13.2 percent or 5.34 million, a 1 percent increase".
