AL-QAIDA'S HIRING FOR THE WEB
Al-Qaida has put job advertisements on the Internet asking
for supporters to help put together its Web statements and
video montages. Al-Qaida supporters widely use the Internet
to spread the group's statements through dozens of Islamist
sites where anyone can post messages. Al-Qaida-linked groups
also set up their own sites, which frequently have to move
after being shut by ISPs.
VA CITY OFFERS INTERNET CARRIED ON POWER LINES
The city of Manassas, Virginia has become one of the first
communities in which high-speed Internet services over power
lines are commercially available. For years,

the Internet through any electrical socket in the home or
office, has been touted as a potential alternative to
service from cable and phone companies.
