Bill Graham Archive Online.
(now we see how old our readers are by whether or not they know who Bill Graham was)
John Borland reports for CNET that entrepreneur Bill Sagan has digitized and is Web streaming his vast archives of live shows. This is an important piece of rock history, captured in an era when bootlegs were tapes and fans toured along with bands such as the Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane. The archive will begin featuring video later this year, much of it never-before-seen footage. The service is fairly new, but apparently has hit home with listeners. Excuse me while I go set my player pointer. [Copyfight]

OhmyNews’ Global Ambitions Get Boost.
Softbank, the Japanese investment company, has invested $11 million in OhmyNews, the pathbreaking Korean online newspaper. The goal, according to the companies: “spreading citizen participatory journalism on the global stage.”
This means, for practical purposes in the near term, the English-language OhmyNews International edition, which has been around for a while but hasn’t gained a lot of traction. The big questions are a) whether the OhmyNews system can be replicated in the U.S. (I have my doubts); and b) what new innovations Mr. Oh and his team will come up with for the new market(s) they intend to serve.
Whatever happens, it’s safe to say one thing. This is an important turning point in the development of citizen journalism. [Center for Citizen Media: Blog]

PERFECT 10 WINS INJUNCTION AGAINST GOOGLE
A federal judge has ruled that portions of Google's popular
image search feature, which displays small thumbnail
versions of images found on other Web sites, likely violate
US copyright law. The judge ruled that Perfect 10, an
adult-oriented Web site has shown that Google image search
probably infringes copyright law "by creating and displaying
thumbnail copies of its photographs."
