An introduction to Irish Tinwhistle. The tinwhistle is an instrument steeped in musical tradition. While played to some small extent in African Kwela music, in Civil War re-enactments, and even some bluegrass, it's in traditional Irish music that the whistle really makes it's home. With the popularity of productions like Riverdance and the Titanic, traditional Irish music has seen a resurgence in popularity. This seems undeniable--even Metallica has recorded a rendition of the traditional tune Whiskey in the Jar. And the whistle has seen a corresponding increase in popularity, use, and availability. Be +
Well, I've now gone two months without smoking, think I've got it beat. Also, been exercising a lot as this will help attain better health. I won't bore you all with how terrible things have been in my past but let me just say that I'm taking steps like I haven't taken in years. Next thing you know I'll be conversing in French and singing in some manner, yup, I once had a dream and then circumstances -- partly my fault, I can see this now -- led me to give up on practically all aspects of life. I must draw a line between the past and now or I'll forever be stuck doing "rien" -- nothing -- and being afraid of everything. Yes, I believe I have more flaws than most -- mostly health -- but if I can focus this anger I feel as a result of this I believe I can do very well. It's so hard once a person falls into negative imaging, don't let this happen to you because you may not make it out of this zone. Luckily for me, I have a patient wife, two rabbits, and a cable modem to help me out.
It's not always "links" here, sometimes it's a diary to help me heal. I started a blog so others can see the internet links that I will eventually read and to have a chance at dialogue with some of you on occasion. I'm sorry for my lack of grammar skills, this will improve, so will my HTML knowledge. Have a great day/evening.

I'm curious, so shoot me.

False promises, real anger
Across Central Africa, mining and oil facilities are becoming flash points for a fight between international corporations and local residents.
