"Give me one good reason why I should use any mail client other than Pine! Intuitive keystroke commands, uncluttered display, great multiple-message handling, indented quotation in replies which follows the time-honored Usenet standard, and best of all, it's in a shell account on somebody else's machine, so I have total virus protection! Can anyone show me a Windows mail client that can beat that?" Geenius at Wrok [geenius@cifnet.com] (found in the comments for All I want for Christmas is ... an e-mail program that works," revisited -- Scott Rosenberg's Links & Comment)

I hope Pine: http://www.washington.edu/pine/getpine/pcpine.html is as good as Geenius says it is, and as simple as the developers say it is.

When my posts show up way over to the right side of the page, simply press refresh and it should centre properly.  (hmmmm, which new feature is causing this, I wonder: "currently subscribed to..." or "BlogSnob"?)

Celtic Grove is wicked, I installed the  iM Networks player and the stream is great on my cable modem, even with Radio Userland on.

I'd like to thank Rogers for replying to my e-mail within a day, just like they said they would -- first customer service company that I'm subscribed to that offered that quick of a response.  There was a small error on my first bill, and they not only fixed it, but gave me twenty-five extra minutes free per month on my wireless phone -- I was getting ready to sign up for online billing, but this deal had just expired.  Thanks again, Rogers -- I don't ask for much, but please be superior to Hell Canada and Moronotron.  (Bell Canada and Videotron)  [I blame the companies in general, not the mostly-great employees]

(I didn't even have to call like most places make you do -- with automated crap included, it's too expensive for me to press "1" for "service", "2" for "technical support", etc., now that I pay for AirTime.)

Mosquitos infected with the West-Nile Virus were found around Oka, Quebec -- West of Montreal, I think -- so I'm going to start wearing insect repellant.  I still think the media is scaring us more than they should but news is slow, unless you love debating Iraq and Jean Chretien's future.
