BTW, I long for a comment. Just one comment, nothing of essay proportions or even relevant. So go ahead, click something. PS. Just tested that link and man that is one ugly comment form. Time for a wee hack there, methinks.

I like my blog name because it sounds like a band. Problem: I start my vacation in a couple days and I'm having trouble deciding whether to blog. It would violate my sense of what vacations are about - escape from all things professional. But it's writing damnit! And, as I believe I mentioned, writing is good, neh? But then reading is better, which makes me wonder if I can stuff the Top 100 ballot box by reloading this page non-stop for about an hour. Of course I'd prefer that you reload it for an hour so I can finish my Sauvignon Blanc on the front porch

Masterpiece: The James Bond title sequences "It's amazing how many nude women Binder was able to work into PG and PG-13 films by shooting them in silhouette or keeping their naughty bits tantalizingly obscured by the credit titles." [Salon Headlines]

One of the hurdles perenially between my normal state and that of a real business is curiosity. Yesterday I installed the new QuickTime Streaming Server to play with, with an eye to my online courses. Somebody stop me.

I think I'll turn over my other blog to my daughter Reilly. Perhaps it will assuage the pain of zero media month. The more analytical among you are no doubt observing that the Internet is a medium and I'm conveniently overlooking that fact for ZMM. Nah, writing is always good!

Through an act of Herculean non-effort I managed an evening at home last night, after several hypersocial outings in a row. Result: woke up feeling rested! Two more days of soho cleanup before I take off for a week's vacation on the Ottawa River. Well, beside the river, technically. Whoa. I was checking out a link to the lodge home page and discovered a message mourning the loss of a friend in a helicopter crash. Rusty and Caroline, I'm so sorry.
