The Raven's bit about coffee sizes reminded me of being in a movie theatre a few years back. The drink sizes were: Medium, Large, X-Large. I asked the girl behind the counter how they could tell it was Medium if there was no Small. For some reason, she didn't find this terribly funny. 11:03:52 AM | permalink | Bare your teeth [] |

I see Dictionary.Com now has the pronunciation of a word if you're a premium member. Otherwise the little speaker button takes you the signup page. Fair enough. Now if they'd just get their Google on with a "Did you mean..." feature. I went looking for the pronunciation of "minutiae" but mispelled it as "minutae" and came up empty. A quick Google search for same included "Did you mean minutiae" with the search results. Perfect! 10:52:16 AM | permalink | Bare your teeth [] |

Finally got our replacement receiver and CD player from the robbery last spring. They're current models of the Denon gear we had before. Our CD player, unlike the one shown on the Denon site, has MP3 stamped on the front - sounds promising. And the receiver appears to be able to play more than one source at a time, like playing a CD through the living room speakers while playing a DVD audio signal through another set of speakers in a different room. Might look into this if we ever upgrade the TV and want better sound. But best of all is the used WiFi-enabled Wallstreet sitting on top of the stand so I have Google at my fingertips and RadioParadise at my ear. 10:35:24 AM | permalink | Bare your teeth [] |
