The name Dow is of Scottish origin, linking me to a world where Uppies and Doonies battle their way through New Years in a contest known as The Ba': "After a strong showing by the Doonies, the game was finally won by Uppie Bruce Moar. Although the Doonies managed to reach as far as the Post office, a late Uppie rally resulted in a rapid push to their goal in the end."
