: "You don't do good software design by committee. You do it best by having a dictator. From the user's point of view, you must have a coherent design philosophy, and I don't see how that could come about from open source software. The person who's done it best is Steve Jobs, and he's well-known for being a tyrant."

Distinct lack of coverage in our little blog ecosystem (and elsewhere) about the impending demise of the Salon mothership. Does this make us a bleakosystem? Here's the original notice. What will become of these blogs in that event? Anyone? Userland? Scott?
PS. Was it the Ken? Should I have stayed away? |

Harper's Weekly: "The Thai government urged women to enlarge their breasts with exercises rather than plastic surgery; as part of a demonstration, dozens of women wearing shorts and T-shirts squeezed their breasts outside the health ministry in Bangkok."
So the official Thai policy is "Enlarge good, plastic bad"? 9:19:36 AM | permalink | Bare your teeth [] |
