John quotes some Forrester research on the role of weblogs in knowledge sharing: "The person-to-person connections enabled by IM, shared workspaces, and weblogging confound published system-based communication paths -- like approval processes, lead routing, and technical problem escalation. I downloaded OmniOutliner today and was pleasantly surprised to find it was a beta with the recently announced OPML import and export. You won't be (pleasantly surprised) however - I just downloaded another copy for a different machine and it's been rolled back to a regular release - sans OPML. Soon, grasshopper, very soon.
