New campaign in SUV battle

"SUVs are in a peculiar position in the American psyche these days. They are at once very popular and also despised; popular for their room, power and safety, despised for their gas-guzzling, more-power-than-is-necessary appetite. Now a familiar political and social commentator has decided the best way to attack SUV drivers is to accuse them of aiding terrorism. It that fair?"

There was a piece on the NBC Nightly News tonight about Arianna Huffington's anti-SUV ad campaign, The Detroit Project, which she mentioned back in October in her Salon column.  The ads are made and should start appearing in Washington and Detroit in the near future.  They're still asking for donations to get them a wider audience.

Today marks 3 months since I quit smoking.  John-Paul just quit.  So did David Carr.  Yay!

Jeff's Used LD/DVD Finder

"I scan over 150 sites on a daily basis looking for used LD's and DVD's. I put this page together to make it easier for you to answer the question --"does anyone know where I can get a copy of (INSERT your favorite here movie)"?"

This is very cool.  He also has a used music finder.  It scans auction sites, online used stores, etc to help you track down that elusive out-of-print item.
