Washington Post: Backpedaling on Cybersecurity

"For weeks, security experts and software companies have been anticipating the Sept. 18 unveiling of the White House's blueprint for cybersecurity. Technology and administrative bigwigs are indeed gathering at Stanford University tomorrow, but now it turns out that what will be released is not a final plan, just another draft. "

The long-awaited plan is going to have to wait a bit longer I guess.  The goverment is claiming it is a "living document" and therefore will never be done, but if they're calling it a draft, I don't suspect its close to being "brought to life" as a final document.  It would appear lobbying by the tech industry would be partly responsible for the last minute changes.  Declan McCullagh got a hold of some early versions (jpg's here.)  I'll have more to say on this tomorrow I imagine.
