I'm going to vomit if I hear one more puff media piece on Avril Lavigne's "rocking" authenticity.

She's nothing more than the Britney Spears of the "Jackass" crowd.  She's been completely manufactured to take advantage of the post 9/11 puff-pop backlash, by the exact same people that brought us Britney and friends.  They've even dubbed her the Anti-Britney.

In support of this thesis, the uncredited team behind "her" songwriting, "The Matrix" (is this supposed to be ironic?) is also responsible for the Backstreet Boys and Nick Carter's solo career.

Now of course, to anyone with an ounce of sense, it's patently obvious that she's a industry-created fraud, but I'm currently watching the "news" program Dateline puff Avril up and I needed to rant.  I feel silly for even caring, but bite me, its people like those behind this stupidity that are responsible for the shithole the music industry has become.
