I received a note back in August from a young lady, I won't link to her because I don't know whether this is publicly held knowledge, who wanted to thank me for writing about all of this. She wants me to know how much she appreciates her dad and how someday K will no doubt feel the same. This young lady had never known anyone else to have gone through what her and her dad had undergone. Her "wayward" mom had kidnapped her 3 times before she was 4 years old and taken her over seas. But they ultimately got beyond it and now she seems to be a great person. At least if her kind note is any indication. That felt really good to receive that message. I hope someday K can look back on it all and give props to others for striving in the face of such odds. 10:31:40 AM  comment [] |
