Phillip Pearson is a superhero. His new comment monitor (see his blog for details) is amazing - you can get notified when someone posts a new comment on your blog via your aggregator in Radio. This is really f'n cool. I'm playing with it now, and I think I'm in love... |

posted by MediaMan at September 22 6:15 PM. Dunkin' Donuts founder passes on - From a single shop in Quincy, Mass. to over 5000 stores around the globe, William Rosenberg created what is probably world's most recognizable donut and coffee chain. (Well, maybe that's because I live in New England, where there's always a DD location within a block radius.) Rosenberg was 86. [MetaFilter] I honestly don't know how the world would function without Dunkin' Donuts all over the place - how would coffee addicts get their fix AND pastry? And how would I satisfy my bizarre and all powerful cravings for Bavarian Cream donuts? With a lot more effort, I'll tell you that much. |

I'm shocked - two episodes into the new season of the Sopranos, and stuff is actually happening. NOTHING ever happens this quickly on the Sopranos. Something's very, very wrong. That projectile vomitting spot was kinda funny, mind you, but I'm still scared. |

US criticises Arafat siege. The White House describes the destruction of the Palestinian leader's West Bank HQ as "unhelpful" - the US's first questioning of Israel's actions. [BBC News | WORLD] "unhelpful"? That's all we have to say? It's unhelpful to completely decimate all chances for peace, yes, but it's a hell of a lot MORE than just unhelpful. Oy. |

Victory in sight for Schroeder. With most of the votes counted¸ Gerhard Schroeder's Red-Green coalition looks as if it will cling onto power after a nailbiting election. [BBC News | Front Page] That's two victories in a row for the left-liberals in Europe...first Sweden, now the big one in Germany. The wave of conservatism that's been spreading across Europe seems like it might be getting squashed. yay! Now we just need it to stop HERE. |
