Action Alert: Free Tommy Chong. Free Tommy Chong--Action Alert --Tell Congress To Stop Prosecuting Paraphernalia Sellers Ironically, Tommy Chong was sentenced on September 11,... [TalkLeft: The Politics of Crime] A libertarian friend of mine told me that he'd vote for any candidate who got Tommy Chong out of jail yesteday. I think he was mainly joking, but it's still a question worth asking - where do the various Democrat contenders stand on the drug war? Clark has said that he doesn't support decriminalizing marijuana, but that he "might change [his] mind on that" - which is a lot more than I've heard from any of the other major candidates. Can anyone point me towards anything similar (or stronger) from Dean, Kerry, et al? |
