Sharon and Abbas Weigh Concessions for Mideast Peace [New York Times: International News]

NYTimes article on Tivo and ReplayTV.  Good overview of the differences between the two, and what they can do.

What the Bush tax cut could have bought. That $330 billion could have covered every uninsured child in the country and paid for millions of teachers and child-care workers. Instead it's going to the richest Americans. [Salon.com]

For the record, I actually benifit from these tax cuts, 'cause I'm a small business owner.  I am still against them.

This is a good thing to read from Ernie the Attorney.  Its really long, so here's a snippet.  For the rest go here: Political News: Dean Fundraising & DeLay Investigation.

Howard Dean, a former Vermont Governor, is running for president and has managed to raise $1 million through the Internet.  Rick Klau first noted this, and now Blogcritics has noted it. (of course the mainstream news doesn't get why this is interesting yet).

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

House Speaker Tom DeLay may have a little problem, which Rick Klau noted, after a few others noted it.  But this story isn't getting play on the Nightly News With Tom Brokaw yet.  What story you ask?

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

End result: the OHS interceded on behalf of a state agency when no criminal conduct was alleged, and certainly for which no terrorist threat existed. "

Internet friendly presidential candidates. David Weinberger, who knows the Internet pretty well (that's a vast understatement), has some thoughts that are worth considering.  He apparently likes Howard Dean.  [Ernie the Attorney]

I haven't really done that much hard looking at the presidential candidates yet.  Mostly because there is so many of them and I don't have that much free time.  I just read Dave's piece, and checked out the Dean website.   All I can say is wow.  I am thoughly impressed at how the campaign seems to understand the power of the internet.  From updates on your cell phone to the awesome use of meetup.com to the weblog (with an XML feed!), I've never seen a candidate "get it" more.

So I signed up for the next meetup.  I'm not sure if this is the guy I'm going to vote for, but he sure has a lead.

Ohh, and I do also agree with most of his stances. (I am not a democrat, I consider myself a liberal independant)  I fully believe that Bush must be removed from office, and it looks like this guy may have what it takes to do it.
