We're having a heat wave here in Berkeley, so last night I put the screens in the windows and let the scent of the jasmine indoors. It was lovely.

Unfortunately, since I don't have any air conditioning, once the windows were shut, the garbage that was warming up in 85 degree heat made it's presence known. Yeah, I love summer.

Anyhow, I love the new commercials for "The Hulk". "See the movie everyone's arguing about." I actually haven't heard much argument: with a few exceptions, everyone's been saying it sucks.

Every time one of these movies comes out about misunderstood loners, all the people who couldn't get over the fact that everyone hated them in high school rally behind it. "I AM the Hulk", they seem to be thinking to themselves, and they'll skewer anyone who dares to question its artistic merit with the fury of a person justifying his or her rage at being rejected at a tender age.

Those people really need some therapy.
