Microsoft Screws Nvidia (again)

It looks like Microsoft left Nvidia with a ton of usless chips after they decided to change encryption keys for the Xbox. Nvidia is taking a nice little financial hit because of this.

As a Nvidia shareholder this pisses me off. Just because an MIT student tapped the Xbox's encryption secrets using $150 worth of hardware, Microsoft decides to leave Nvidia holding a lot full of useless chips. The right thing to do would be to phase out the old chips and when those are used up, usher in the new ones. Microsoft is so paranoid about piracy on the Xbox and the possiblity running Linux on it, they will just out and screw their partners.

What they should be doing is getting some decent games on the Xbox. Halo is not going to sell systems forever. The recent news that Halo is coming to the PC and Mac does not help matters either.
