If All of the Terrorist Attacks in the U.S. Over the Last Decade Have Their Roots in the Last Invasion of Iraq, Then Wouldn't the Best Way to Stop Future Terrorist Attacks Be to Invade Iraq Again?

Not surprisingly, it appears that the sniper who has been terrorizing the Washington, DC area is, like Timothy McVeigh before him, a Gulf War military veteran who has developed strong anti-American sentiments. So of the four terrorist attacks on U.S. soil in the last decade, two (the two attacks on the World Trade Center) seem to have been in direct response to the invasion of of Iraq, and the other two (the Oklahoma City bombing and the Washington sniper) seem to have been carried out by people who participated in that invasion. And if this story (which sounds a lot like a wacky conspiracy theory) that Eric points out is to be believed, the connection among at least three of those attacks is even stronger.

I know that these connections are all circumstantial and in the realm of lame conspiracy theory. But in the same way that conspiracy theories spring from an innate need for order and connection, this just feels right. Violence tends to beget violence, and it seems doubtful that another massive invasion of Iraq is going to quiet things down any.
