Okay, so maybe this holistic health chaord takes the form of a kind of industry association. People from the different disciplines get together: chiropractors, herbalists, acupuncuture, fitness trainers, you name it. Wouldn't there be a lot of power in just getting these people together. I don't know if you've ever met a holistic practitioner, but they are full of energy and dedicated to their professions! They love their work and they love talking about it. They love learning. (Okay, I'm generalizing but I've yet to have been proven wrong.)
So you get them together and what happens? Maybe the rolfer talks to the homeopath and discovers some neat things he can add to his repertoire. Maybe somebody decides they are in the wrong type of practice and decides to switch. Maybe someone else incorporates pieces of another practice into their own, making themselves a better whatever. Maybe a whole new thing emerges as a combination of multiple practices.
Obviously, this couldn't happen in the first meeting. I'm trying to visualize what will occur down the road. Now, the trick is, how to get them into a room in the first place? Is the motivation of "learn about other holistic practices" enough? I don't really think so. Comments on possible motivations anyone?
How about I set up some people who can help the holistic practitioners run their businesses. Speakers like: attorney, accountant, marketing professional, technology consultant, insurance agent, sales trainer, etc. All the speakers have tuned their messages to the holistic health practitioner. Maybe that is motivation for them to come. Maybe.
