Chapter 10: Luna Lovegood

Back on the train, Ron and Hermione go to a prefect’s meeting while Harry, Ginny and Neville find a compartment with Luna Lovegood who has a reputation among the students for being quite loopy, and she certainly acts that way.

Neville accidentally sprays jets of sap all over the compartment just before Cho Chang stops by to say hello to Harry and he wishes he seemed cooler.

Draco Malfoy and Pansy Parkinson are the Slytherin prefects, Ron reveals, coming back from the meeting.

Looking at The Quibbler, the headlines and articles all seem to come from the National Enquirer or a similar paper but Luna says her father is the editor.

Getting off the train, Hagrid is not there to meet the first years. Professor Grubbly-Plank is there instead.

Catching the carriages to the castle, Harry first notices that there are strange horse-like animals pulling the carriages where in previous years they seemed to move by themselves. Luna seems to be the only other person who can see the animals.
