Chapter 5: The Order of the Phoenix

Members of the order are settling in to the house as a base of operations. They are cleaning all the bewitched items out so that they can live without danger of being cursed or attacked.

Sirius wants Harry to know all about the Order but the Weasley parents and other wizards think he is too young to know all the details yet. Eventually they give in and Harry finds out that the Order is working to stop Voldemort regaining power. They learn he is trying to build an army of dark creatures.

Cornelius Fudge refuses to believe Voldemort is back and thinks that Dumbledore is just trying to overthrow him. Dumbledore has been voted out of the Chairmanship of the International Confederation of Wizards and demoted from Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot, the Wizard High Court.

Sirius reveals that Voldemort is trying to obtain an extremely powerful weapon, more powerful than the banned curses.
