Back when size mattered: A friend e-mails me to say he just bought a new 120 gigabyte hard drive and quotes me a remarkable price -- or at least a cost that seems astounding to me.
And I begin to think, jeez, maybe I should get me one of those. Then I realize I have an 80 gig drive and 56 gigs free and more programs than anyone could ever want plus a mess of MP3s and all my work for the past half year. What would I do with all that space? I'm just not a Photoshop kind of guy.
Then nostalgia sets in and I begin to recall the days when we had -- I told you I was ancient -- 10 megabyte drives. In fact, my first computer, a CPM machine made by Morrow had just two floppy drives.
Talk about the days of manly men.
