Have you seen Apple's "switch" campaign? It is an interesting display of PC-bashing, extolling the virtues of fancy-design computing over the more unstable beige box. Why such impassioned rhetoric? Penny Arcade has some of the answers, giving us an unusual, honest look at the Mac crowd. (Full disclosure: this scribbler is a longtime PC user.)

On the wider world of the Web, there might not be a better eyeball trap than a link from Slashdot. On the smaller streets of Salon Blogs, the best traffic cop for directing innocent people to your ramblings is Scott Rosenberg. On August 7, Mr. Rosenberg pointed some unsuspecting victims to one of several inane entries on this log. Not that many of them cared to voice their disappointment, though. But what wonders it worked for my hits! As of this post, people have fallen 26 times through that manhole. Having achieved my 15 minutes before the free 30-day trial is over, will now return to mumbling to myself, smugger than before.

Thanks, Scott.
