Without having checked the latest on the "unknowingly syndicated" controversy, these are my feelings on the situation as expressed elsewhere: I'm not a professional writer, and I consider what I do in my own log to be just graffiti on the Web wall. So if another site posts my content, as long as they link back to my log and credit me, I'm happy as a pig in a mudbath.

Besides, I've know about those repurposers for a while. I'm kind of amused by it, and it no doubt helps drive my place in Google searches up.

Some phrases that have been turning around in my head but haven't found a use yet:

Empty gestures from a hollow face.

Another shit stain in the bowl.

Down in the dark, among the dead things.

If you use them without paying me royalties I'll get someone to whack you.

Litter Box

If water no longer finds a vessel to give it shape, where will it end after it flows away?

If the mirror no longer finds an image to reflect, will it crack and fall to the ground?

When the chameleon is no longer able to change color, will it turn transparent and reveal the beating of its heart?

A quote from Newsweek's Practical Futurist, Michael Rogers, regarding the New York Times' website:

...The Times requires registration; go ahead, register and help feed the writers.

The kids over at Plastic should read that. And yet, I think I'm sticking my foot in my mouth here.

From The ChuckleHut: a gruesome reflection on parasitic lifeforms nesting within human hosts. It ends up with a piece of advice that reminded me of David's ER cure for crab lice.
