Chuck passed away last year on February 22 at the age of 89. As if that wasn't unfair enough, he was regretably undermemorialized. The "newspaper of record" only published an AP obituary instead of getting one of its writers to roll one of their own. Neither Salon or Slate chimed in. And he wasn't even included in last year's Oscar's "In Memoriam" segment. Argh! Only PopPolitics bothered to deliver a fond farewell for him. That's what true genius gets you.
