OK, i said i quit but here's one more blog. It has nothing to do with sex, drugs, rock'n'roll, brittany spears or kobe bryant. (those are things that get people to read blogs i guess). Nope. This is just a letter to Karl Rove.

.Mr Rove,

Congratulations Karl, things are going just swimmingly on the media front. Employing your own journalists and news broadcasters was a flash of brilliance. Keeping sixty six percent of the American public in the dark is no mean feat. Well done

I figured I’d write directly to you Karl (there’s no point having someone read this to little Georgie). It’s time you got a little more credit and appreciation. It must irk you sometimes to have to sit in the background while your little mannequins Bush and Rumsfield mouth your words and get all the attention. But don’t worry Karl there are a bunch of us who know you’re really the one running things, so just hang in there.

Karl, if you can swing that new UN sanction deal then you’ve really proved yourself a champion. If those wimps agree to an American run UN coalition, after you rubbed their “old Europe” noses in their greasy potatoes and bratwurst there’s no telling how far we can go.

I like how you took those ideas from that Milo Mindermender guy in Catch 22 and really put them to use. Hell both sides of every war going on have to buy stuff from our conglomerates. Nice going.

Just a few things Karl:

How are we going to hide all those wounded guys and amputees returning from our wars?

Do you think we could get the big guys ( Haliburton and those other guys) to sponsor their own army divisions?

Maybe this isn’t a good time to call those European guys “chocolate makers”.

How are you going to cancel the next elections?

Sayonara guys and gals. There is no point continuing preaching just to the choir

I applaud the efforts of MoveOn org and all the singers and songwriters using open mikes to get the word out. Blogging isn’t a viable venue .The written word of protest or enlightenment has to make it into the mainstream press to be effective. I can’t even get a letter published in Salon the sponsor of these blog sites. So it goes.

BushCorp wants Iraq’s oil but the main thrust of the exercise is to cripple and emasculate the UN.. Bush stated last night that the US didn’t want or need anyone’s permission to initiate pre-emptive warfare. Simple as that.

Try getting a letter into your local papers. And to you guys in Seattle …Keep up the good work…Kali nikta .

Dear Georgie

War is not the only option. Massive demonstrations around the world are calling on you to rethink your planned invasion of Iraq. You’ve labelled Iraq, Iran and North Korea as members of an axis of evil. You are ready to negotiate with North Korea (a true loose cannon already producing nuclear weapons) while you are ready to annihilate Iraq on the grounds that it may be trying to produce nuclear weapons.

There are other options.

Demand (you like demanding) that all three nations accept the presence of permanent U.N. arms inspectors. Deploy hundreds (thousands?) of inspectors in each country and supply them with all of your high-tech toys. (It’s a lot cheaper in terms of the cash and the lives that would be wasted by deploying hundreds of thousands of troops). The inspectors must have full access and must maintain a high profile. Let CNN and other broadcasters, so anxious to cover a war, focus on the inspectors, televising their every move. Have the UN give these inspectors some bite, don’t let the programme degenerate to a token two man team like you had in North Korea.

Couple this programme with a massive influx of regulated aid to the beleaguered citizens of these countries. It’s doable and gives you a far higher return on your dollar.

There is more than one way to fight the war on terrorism georgie .

The aim of the United States in this Iraq situation is to test the mettle of the United Nations. As it stands today, the United States is the only big kid on the block. The Cold War is over. There is no one nation powerful enough to keep the US in check.

BushCorp, the conglomerate now running the United States wants to manage the world’s policing force, the UN. Right now the US sees the UN Security Council and the UN arms inspectors as stumbling blocks in it’s planned invasion of Iraq. If a final UN judgement runs counter to the professed BushCorp strategy and the US unilaterally attacks Iraq, what is there to stop any further US pre-emptive attacks? The US will in effect be above or outside of the law…Scary…but so it goes.
