Latest election news: Dean doing well, Clark doing well

Howard Dean officially busted the all-time Dem fundraising record with $15 million.

A new poll shows Wesley Clark in the lead in California with 17% to 14 for Dean and Lieb.

Lieb? He's still around?

Not for long.

Anglican leader pressured on gay movement

The battle over that gay bishop is not over yet.

Church leaders are holding an unprecedented two-day meeting in London right now wrangling it out.

No word yet on which way they'll go.

Dumb movie, dumb title

With a little digging, I have learned that the annoying title for the awful movie called Elephant is what I suspected: a reference to the elephant in the living room. An appropriately bad title for an awful film.

I read elsewhere that it was also lifted from a (Scandanavian?) short, so it's derivative as well.

(And this only matter because the stupid thing won both thte Palme d'Or (best pic) and Best Director at Cannes. And it's by the once-great Gus Van Sant, and about Columbine. All of which you probably read below.)
