I wanted to thank everyone who sent e-mail, posted a link, submitted a comment or even just dropped by my weblog. I have a small family, and just a few close friends; few of my coworkers even knew what had happened. So it was wonderful to have a "place" to go where everyone knew what had happened and many had left kind and thoughtful remarks. Words cannot alleviate the grief of losing a loved on, but there are a lot of other feelings and difficulties at a time like this, and knowing that there are people who took time to think about my family and I, sent condolences or said a prayer did help. When I started this weblog I never would have thought that it would pay such dividends. Or that blogs could fulfill some of the more important roles of a true community.
Again, thank you for your kindness. It did make a difference.
