Radio Userland
Anyone blogging here at Salon should read these two pieces from the new Product Manager for Radio, Steve Kirks.

A Letter to Radio Users introduces Steve and recounts the reasons that Radio needs a product manager.

2004 Radio Roadmap lays out the specific improvements that will be made to Radio over the next few months. Improvements to upstreaming and HTML rendering are on the list, as are new themes and better commenting.

This is good news, but I'm skeptical. Radio has lost a year to it's competitors, and progress in some of the open source blogging apps is moving quickly. With all of the ground that Userland needs to make up, it will be a long time before they can add "only-with-Radio" features.

On the other hand, the potential of Radio is tremendous, so this development could be just the start of great things.
