Yesterday was an Aikido course in Cambridge, given by Sensei John Longford. This was, I hink I'm right in saying, the first course that Sensei Longford has done actually in Cambridge, and I think it was quite a success. We concentrated quite a bit on the 31 count Jo partner practice, a choreographed sequence of movements involving two people with Jos (Japanese short staffs). A think I can safely say that I'm now thouroughly confused. By the end of the lesson I was so muddled up with all the different bits that I was doing that I mostly ended up stadning still and thinking "er...".
