I currently live in Cambridge, England - one of the oldest and most historical cities in the country and home to the world-famous University of Cambridge. There are actually three Universities in Cambridge (there's APU, and the regional headquaters of the Open University, too), plus probably the highest concentration of bookshops in the world.
My interests include Aikido, a Japanese martial art, and I also do a fair bit of running.
My current professional occupation is as a Learning Support Assistant at a local school. This involves me helping out in classrooms, assisting various children in various ways to help them learn better. Before that I worked as a cleaner at Tesco, and before that I was a computer programmer at Global Graphics Software in Barrington, Cambridgshire, a place with so much history floating around it that it makes even Cambridge seem new.
If you've come accross this website and are wondering if this is the David Hicks you knew at school, then I attended Woolpit Primary School, Beyton Middle School, Stowupland High School, the University of East Anglia, the University of Victoria and the University of Reading. You can contact me via this website, or maybe have a look at my entry on the Friends Reunited site.
If you're wondering if you know me from work, I worked various summer jobs at Nickersons Seeds on the Woolpit Business Park, Rannoch's Foods, and Moneyfacts.
If you think you just randomly know me, I grew up in Borley Green, near Woolpit, Suffolk, England.
If you're still not sure then that picture at the top of page is of me, taken 29th January 2003.
