It's not an Olympic sport yet, but I have hopes that there may, someday, be room for Peep Jousting. OK, so maybe it's not very athletic, but it sure is fun! You remember Peeps, those yellow, blue or pink Easter chicks made of. . . something, possibly marshmallow-like. Well, they're darn near impossible to find now, but come next spring they'll be all over the place. One of the best thing about Peeps is puting them in the microwave and watching them expand. That is how peep jousting came about. You take two Peeps, stick a toothpick in each and have them face-off, about and inch apart. Turn on the microwave and watch as one will puncture the other's little Peep lungs with the toothpick. It's snacktime fun for the whole family! Curious about how Lord of the Rings would look as done by Peeps? Of course you are. Look right here. There's lots more sick fun to be had and The Big List of Peeps Links can point you in all the right directions.
Actually, there are a lot of things you can do with microwaves besides cook food. This web page provides pictures and instructions for nuking lightbulbs, CDs and more. Strange . . . |
