If Mike Ryoko were still alive, his blog might read a lot like Gentleman George Mahood's Radio Weblog. The Gentleman's characters are fictional - but they're not. You know them, you've heard them.

Here's a sample from Modern Day Men's Attire: A Less Than Philosophical Investigation -

"Wal-Mart clothes're terrific," the young guy said, "when you're under 30 and stuff. You can pretty much look like a cheapass and it's fine--everybody knows you're a stupid shit, spending all your money on pizza. But once you hit 30 and stuff, you can buy your clothes someplace else--strictly for the hell of it."

"How about for the hell of it," the older guy said, "I point out you're the only fucker here with a tie."

Gentleman George writes blog-noir, sort of Mike-Hammer-meets-Charles-Bukowski. He's just getting started here and I think and hope there's a lot of good writing yet to come.

Go there.
