My friend Lane sent me the URL for a particularly nasty look at the Bush family, the Bush Family Values Photo Album. I enjoyed it, of course. That page lead me to RedHerring.com, an online and hard-copy magazine about finances and venture capital. The lure? A story about cronies of G Bush the First who were meeting with members of the bin Laden family in D.C. on September 11, 2001.
An unfortunate coincidence, but ironic. The meeting concerned a powerful business called the Carlyle Group, what RedHerring calls "of one of the most powerful, well-connected, and secretive companies in the world." It seems that G Bush II and his MidEast adventures can prove profitable for Poppie. I guess you could say they stand to make a killing. |
