I have to take a break on this election, SS, republicans suck (and they do, every God damned one of them) rant...but belie'dat we will work this out until Sparxxx has a big ole amos-n-andy smile while he writes that big tax check in 2k4.  Dotherightthing...stop being selfish...I ain't talking 'bout the big cash flush either...I'll get back to this. What I want to hate on today stems from a e-chain that I've been having with my boys about the Sixers and specifically Coleman and Van Horn. Peeps contend that Coleman is this big fat cancerous former #1 draft bust who just kills his team.  Peeps contend that Van Horn is better. I contend that Coleman is a bargain, and that Keith Van Sucky is nothing more than overpaid Coleman, regardless of what you think about Coleman. First of all, let's look at acquisition.  Coleman came for Lynch, gimpy ass George Lynch--posterboy for why Larry Brown is a HOF'er.  Van Sucky comes via the number 2 pick. Gets traded for Bradley who gets traded for nothing, and then gets traded back to the Sixers for Mutombo.  Big Edge: Coleman. Salaries--Coleman 8.5, Van Suck-a-lot 11.5.  Edge: Coleman. Career pts/rebs: Coleman 17.7/9.7, Van Shit 18.1/7.7.  Edge: Coleman. Last season: Coleman 15.1/8.8, Van Ass 14.8/7.7.  Edge: Coleman. "Coleman's Always Hurt":  Coleman averages 57 games over 12 years, Van Crack averages 62 games over 5 years.  Coleman's played fewer than 57 games twice in the last 6 years, Van Crap has played less than 50 2 of the last 5. Edge: Tie. With Coleman being in the last year of his deal, and Van Scrotum owed 44MM over the following 3 after this year.  Coleman is a commodity right now. (And by "loses" I mean decides to give the hockey coach a couple mill and take it out of the football budget all the while blaming it on Title IX.) Here's my media hate. Since I do 90 minutes on the stairmaster per day, I go through lots of ESPNs and SIs. I ran out this Monday and walked across the street to pick up "Street and Smith's NBA Preview." I remembered it from back in the day and thought it would be a great read. I was wrong.  Apparently, the deadline for the writers must've been back in August. The entire Wizards summary was about Rip Hamilton. The Heat were picked third in the east, 'cuz Alonzo was going to bring the pain. Dikembe was a Sixer. Ewing was a Magi (or whatever the singular of 'Magic' is...what's a single Heat player, a 'Hot?') There was a big long article on Stackhouse's commitment to the Pistons and vice versa. The whole freakin' issue was obsolete.  And it cost SEVEN DOLLARS. You normally pay 3-4 duckets for SI/ESPN, chip in an extra buck for Maxim. But if I'm paying 7 bones for a magazine, it better have Christy Swanson running naked on a beach inside. F**k S&S for doing this.  What's the point of having an August deadline (so that your mag can be the FIRST on the shelf) if your entire issue is worthless, outdated crap? It's like writing an election preview in September (watch out for Wellstone!  The Dems are on the move!). -- Rizz 2:42:05 PM    comment []

Bush is using a baseless fear/hatred of Muslims to gear his nation up for world dominance. - 47 shots? And Kobe isn't selfish? Further proof that without Shaq, the Lakers are a lottery team. - College football season is a lot less interesting after your team loses a game. - Hitler put Jews in concentration camps across Europe. Bush already has one such "camp" set up for "suspected terrorists" in Cuba. And he's just getting started... - I can't wait to see "8 Mile." "Desperation?" "A rope ends it." "Evangelist?" "Evil's agent." "President Clinton of the USA?" "He finds intern to copulate." - Speaking of Hitler, he unilaterally opted to occupy other nations. Bush has unilaterally opted to occupy other nations as well. Go figure. - Does anyone else look at a Confederate flag and think "American swastika?" - Have they ever arrested a white guy on "Cops?" - You can't spell "The Republicans" without "Hitler."
