Yeah yeah...I know it's been like...a long ass time...but I've been caught up in the whole Captain America fiasco plus some other shit (dramas always come in threes), so I needed some time to myself...

Anyway...more random ranting...

- In a story related to one of my three dramas, the fine young lass behind Crackaville, the Blue Marble Pimp, has done me the ultimate honor -- I now have my own page on her site. The beautiful thing about this is that she had audio clips of some of my junk...which saves me the trouble of figuring out how to put them on here. If you wanna hear some bangers, go to her site and click on the cardboard box (and check out the rest of the shit if you haven't, because the Blue Marble Pimp is bad bad badass...recognize)...the link is to the left in case you're dumb and didn't notice. Visit often because I get to sleep with her if she gets to 10,000 hits...

- Captain America is still holding it down. They're past their expected stay and they're doing shit they weren't trained to do...but as of a few days ago he sounded a lot better...just counting down till escape time. Then again, I'm still posting in red, so things ain't as they should be. Stay tuned...

- Remind me never to get obsessed with work...it fucks up too much other stuff. Besides, work isn't fun (unless you have my job or you're a hooker)...so why spend all your time there? I LIKE what I do and I still cut out early...other shit is more fun...

- Something I've realized as I take my dad's advice and "go out and meet people...REAL people"...there's a reason I was so damn antisocial in the first place. While getting lap dances from total strangers for free is occasionally fun, there's too much other stupid shit that goes along with it. I'm actually going to spend the rest of this year shrinking my "friends" list instead...cause most of y'all get on my damn nerves...

- I love the Sox...and I rejoiced in the sweep in the Bronx...but it's too early to get excited and talk shit...so I'm not going to. Until June...

Anyway...I have writer's block right now, so I'm stopping. But I'll be back in less than 3 weeks this time. Promise.

Un Fucking Believable. Well, I believe it...but I don't. I don't know.

Captain America was set to come home next week. They were in Kuwait. They had been decontaminated. They had a flight date set to come back home. And yesterday...BushCo decided to stick a big spiked strap-on in his ass.

They're not coming home. Where they're going, we don't know. How long they're going for, we don't know. But for the third time in 14 months, he's been lied to...and he's at the end of his rope. I didn't think I'd ever see him get this way...but he's about ready to crack. And I think I already have.

I'm sure some of you have friends or family in a similar situation. There are roughly 135,000 people getting fucked right along with Sparxxx. They're fighting an unnecessary war. They're fighting for people that don't give a fuck about them. They're being toyed with like pieces on a Stratego board. And they have no real choice but to sit there and accept it.

War is the dumbest idea ever conjured up by mankind. We hate each other. We hurt each other. We kill each other. Sometimes, it's necessary -- you need to defend yourself. But this isn't necessary. We're fighting against a country that poses NO threat to us whatsoever. They never did. And yet we've been in there for over a year, and thousands of innocent Iraqis and Americans and others -- all human beings regardless of what "side" they're on -- die for no reason.

George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and their boy band of evil fucks don't care. They've never experienced the horrors of war firsthand. They don't even really know anyone who has. Only one of the Congressmen who voted for this war has a child in the military. They have no personal stake in this thing. They can sit back and play soldier from a desk. They don't know what it's like for these soldiers, their friends or their families. And they don't care. Don't think for a second that they do.

How can they put young men and women in this position when they've never been willing to do it themselves? Conservatives will call it "courageous leadership." I call it the very definition of cowardice. If Bush's daughters were on the front line, we wouldn't be there. If Paul Wolfowitz or John Ashcroft had to suit up and go into Fallujah, we wouldn't be there. But they're not. They don't have to live with the consequences of these stupid decisions. They're spending our money, and they're spending our blood. They have everything to gain from this "war"...if anything can be gained. But they have nothing to lose.

The vast majority of Americans are now against this war. And yet the government that is supposed to represent the will of the people doesn't care. They're staying the course -- the stupid, asinine course. Fuck us all because they refuse to simply come forward and say "I fucked up." Even Senior Bush has said he didn't think we should have gone in.

Maybe you don't know anyone going through this thing. Maybe you have no personal stake in it. Maybe you really believe we're doing the right thing in Iraq. You're crazy, but that's beside the point. Put yourself in the shoes of those soldiers right now. Put yourself in my shoes. Pretend that your best friend has been over there for a year...that they were ready to come home next week...and now they're being told they can't come home -- and that they don't know when they will be able to come home. Put yourself in that position -- or try to -- and tell me how you'd feel.

Pretty shitty, probably.

His return was the one thing I've had to look forward to for the last few months. I was going through my daily existence KNOWING that everything would be okay and that I'd be able to go to DC later this month and hang out with him again. Life was about to be normal again.

But not now.

I'm almost past the point of being angry. I'm almost numb. The roller coaster ride I've been on over the past year and a half has basically drained me of any emotion I had. And that's me sitting here. Imagine what it's done to the guys that are actually there.

How any American can be okay with putting their fellow man in this position is amazing to me. Accepting it is not okay. It's our right to speak out against this bullshit. In fact, it's our duty. Telling yourself and others that what we're doing is right...and that what these soldiers are going through is okay...it's not just un-American.

It's inhuman.

Bring 'em back. Not next year. Not next month. Not next week. Now.

Because THAT, George, is the right thing to do. And you know it.

Okay...so I know I've been getting delinquent as fuck about posting...to the point where I wonder if I should even keep this site up anymore...but...I'm gonna put off the decision for a second...couple of things in the meantime...

- Captain America is out of Iraq and officially started on the return journey...it'll be at least three weeks before he's back in DC...but at least the worst is over. The countdown to the Delayed Hustle is on...

- On a brief and somewhat cryptic unrelated personal note, I'm not a patient person...which makes things suck when you see everything so close to panning out exactly the way they should, yet not breaking. When the last pieces of the puzzle are completely out of your hands, it fucking blows...cause if I've learned one thing, it's that you can't count on other people to do shit right...

- One thing that has been done right, for the most part, is Air America Radio. I'm not sure how many of you are in one of the few cities carrying it so far (950 AM here in Chicago), but for those of you who haven't had a chance to catch any of this stuff, tune in. It's about damn time that there was a mouthpiece to counter the pile of conservative bile on the airwaves, and AAR does it in style -- with a daily lineup that includes the likes of Chuck D and Al Franken. If you're not in a city that carries it yet, you can catch live broadcasts at www.airamericaradio.com ... and you should definitely do that...

- Connie Rice finally caved in to the pressure, and she'll testify to the Nyneleven Commission under oath...now if we can just keep the pressure on and get Dumbya to testify WITHOUT Cheney in the room. As someone said this week, when a lawyer is taking divorce depositions, don't you take each side separately to make sure the stories match up? With Cheney and Bush in there together, it's going to be easier for them to do what they do best -- which is be full of shit...

- Pedro takes the mound Monday night...and like that, it'll be on. Better yet, the season opens with the Sox already up one in the loss column on the Evil Empire...

Okay...it's been a while since I dropped a nice big steamy blanket rant...so I think I'm gonna do that...

I fucking despise stupid people.

I'm not even sorry for offending you if you're one of them. Most of you likely are in some capacity and don't even realize it. And most of you could do something about it -- but since you suck, you don't.

There are many categories of sucky, stupid people. Let's examine a few of my least favorites in brief...

- The airhead. The stereotype states that most of these are females, which is not entirely true -- although they seem to be the ones that flaunt their stupidity more blatantly...almost as if a lack of intelligence is a turn-on. One particular idiot that I was dumb enough to hang around with for a few weeks had absolutely nothing of substance to say...and yet she couldn't stop talking. She would spend 10 minutes running through the stuff she needed to do the next day -- not realizing that she had already told me that same shit about six times. There are millions of these people...and while some of them may be nice people, having a conversation with them is about as fun as giving yourself an enema with a circle saw. I highly recommend avoiding these people at all costs...

- The Republican. Again, I know some nice Republicans. Some of them even show hints of being otherwise intelligent people. And yet when it comes to playing politics, they have their heads so far up their asses that their faces wind up right back where they belong -- only covered in shit. Republicans, by and large, tend to exhibit most of the qualities I despise in most people. They're selfish -- "I'm a millionaire that deserves a tax break...the people that need them are poor because they're lazy. Fuck them." They're high-strung -- "I'm waiting until I'm married to have sex, and then only missionary for three minutes please." They spend way too much time worrying about other people -- "If we let gay people get married, they're going to ruin our lives!!! (Except not really.) We must stop these heathens at all costs!" And they're afraid of the wrong people -- "Black people are going to eat my babies!!! Terrorists are going to blow up my kid's school!!! Ludacris is destroying American family values!!!" Basically, they're the kind of people that can ruin any kind of a good time. So fuck them too...

- The loud fat guy. They're not always stupid per se -- just dumb because they don't know how annoying they are, so they don't stop annoying you. Especially the drunk ones. So yeah. Aggravating...especially since they largely don't smell very pleasant either...

- The smart dumb guy. This is an entirely different animal than the dumb smart guy, the one who is brilliant but sometimes forgets shit (prime example: me). The smart dumb guy is the one who doesn't know a fucking thing, but insists that he's an expert on whatever random subject it is he knows nothing about. These are also well worth avoiding...if you state a fact and someone argues it vehemently, that's usually a sign. "Two plus two is five, man...let me explain." It's best to just walk away...

- The guy who doesn't understand no. These don't bother me so much...but to the non-stupid female, they're often a major burr in the rectum. This guy...usually drunk, often ugly and boxing out of his weight class, gets it in his head that he's going to get some play from a particular girl...and no matter how hard the girl drops the hint...be it walking away or saying "ummm...whatever dipshit...get off me"...the guy simply doesn't get it. We admire his persistence, and he can be entertaining to watch...but yeah...he's stupid...

- THE ALL CAPS GUY. An internet phenomenon, this person is a relatively technologically advanced annoyance. They're crying out for attention, and they usually can't spell very well or think of anything to say besides "WHATEVER FAG I PROLLY FUCK MORE CHIX THAN U DO SO FUCK OFF." These people are the main reason that the "ignore" function is so popular in chat rooms. If I get emails in all caps, I delete without even reading a word. Basically, this is the best way to annoy someone without even speaking...

- The old guy with a sense of entitlement. Now don't get me wrong...I respect my elders, by and large. Some of them are cool, and some have lots of wisdom to offer. There are some, however, that believe that us youngins owe them the world just because they're old. If I get you your mail, it's because I'm nice. It's not because I'm your personal bitch. Being old does not mean you know everything or deserve more shit. You already get senior discounts. Enjoy them...

- The compliment fisher. Hot girls that go around saying "oh I'm fat" or "oh I'm ugly" just to draw a response. (The guys that take the bait and kiss these girls' asses are also on the list, because guys that sweat chicks too hard -- we'll call this guy "The Joe" -- are stupid and aggravating.) Basically, I just agree with the self-depreciator...that way, there's no argument and everyone's happy...

Clearly, there are many more genres of stupid people, and they should all be taken out and beaten. But perhaps this guide will help the non-stupid among you to help avoid a good segment of the stupid populace. Good luck.

Random thoughts after being hit with the realization that a well-timed phone call from the right person can cure just about anything...

- The final stamp went on Notre Dame's NIT invitation Thursday night when they blew it against UConn in the Big East Tournament...but aside from a few days' worth of dicktease, I kinda knew this was coming. The Irish probably didn't even deserve to go to the NCAA's even if they won the whole shit this weekend. Not a single quality out-of-conference win, and some losses early on (ummm...Central Michigan at HOME?) that just gave you diarrhea. It just wasn't meant to be. The good news, however, is that Chris Thomas will almost assuredly be coming back now...and if Torin Francis is healthy, we'll have a nice 1-2-3 punch inside with him, Cornette and Latimore. So don't expect the drought to last long. Football? Well...jury's still out on that one...

- The economy is still in the shitter, unless you're a rich executive. The War For No Reason is still a mess, and the troops coming home for the next month or so are largely coming home pissed (talked to a just-returned special ops dude last night). People are starting to wonder why Bush won't cooperate with the Nyneleven commission, and John Kerry hasn't fucked up yet. We all know how the Rove Machine will play it -- talk about gay marriage and the death penalty and avoid the real issues -- but it seems like a good chunk of the country is too broke, and too sick of being lied to, to buy the hoopla. And no...Kerry is still not my ideal choice (look for a rant after I vote in the meaningless primary Tuesday)...but right now, I'll take what it looks like I should be able to get...

- One new link on the side...Crackaville (which I touted a few weeks back...the link finally works)...the home page from the current leader in the "Ryan's Favorite People" standings. Still checking out another one that I may add shortly...but the title (Bullshit Central) earns early points...

- In the free pub department...Paul Thompson, the genius behind the lovely Nyneleven timeline, may be posting mp3s of my 2 songs on the same topic. If that happens, I'll let you know...but all of you should have copped the whole album through me by then anyway...

- Fucking around with my new webcam has reinforced two already-known facts...1) I'm not nearly as computer-savvy as some people seem to think I am...and 2) I don't photograph well. At all...

- Then again, I guess that's why I became a member of the media to begin with, so I shouldn't really say shit. But...if that's your aim, work in sports or entertainment...not news...
