Pesky's Weekend Quickies

Watch out for nuts
I am horrified to report that one of our own, a squirrel named Zippy, has
gone over to the Dark Side and paid the ultimate price. Rodents everywhere must condemn his actions and work to insure others like him don't ruin the reputation of honest, law-abiding squirrels.

Looking for good news? Look no further:
It appears that Canadian authorities are making progress against telemarketers that steal money from old ladies in Florida. I'm told thousands of snakes  and cats are now out of work.

Home entertainment idea on Salon blogs
Dave over at No Code has extensive experience amusing himself with marshmallow peeps.  Remember, kids, don't do this at home unless your parents are out to dinner.

Ask Pesky!
Have a question about your love life? Need to know whether or not to invest in the stock market? Ditch Dr. Phil. Sack Suze Orman. Come to the Rat. Questions will be answered here approximately once a week. Fill out the form in the left column of this page.  Pesky the Rat has no qualifications whatsoever, but at least he admits it.

Mini Movie Review
8 Mile, starring Eminem: surprisingly good potrait of a young man struggling to break out of the suffocating poverty of a Detroit neighborhood. No fuzzy actors to speak of, unless you count the guy who shoots himself in a sensitive place, but we do learn about new and inappropriate uses for industrial equipment.  This film is one of the few that really requires a top-notch theater sound system. 4 rotting pieces of theater popcorn out of 5.

Duuuuuuuuuuude.

Down with the Duplication and Multiplication of Chickens Act! Down with it now!

Ooooh! I like that. Do it some more.
