A few weeks ago it was 21 Azar, the anniversary of when Iran ran the Russians out of Azerbaijan, so the Shah showed off Iran’s military might. For days the armoured personnel carriers were sitting at the Baushga, along with highway police cars and motorcycles. And on Abassabad, in front of the house, we saw tanks, Gaz trucks, and anything else military and motorized.
Everybody is exceedingly patient, but for how long? The BBC says that the Russian defense minister was in Baghdad and the Iraqi minister of same in Peking. But Iran has 5 times as many people and much more armed strength than Iraq, so we would probably be successful. Iraq, by the way, is on military alert--who knows what the future holds?
