Just got back from a cruise with Norwegian Cruise Lines.  Here's my take:  NCL is good, a hearty thumbs up.  The food wasn't quite as good as the food on Royal Caribbean was last year, but it was still plenty good.  A little more party-oriented than RC was.

The cruise went from Miami to St Maarten to St Thomas to San Juan.  Didn't do any official excursions, so we had to go fend for ourselves in town.  St Maarten & St Thomas shopping districts were both full of people on the sidewalk trying to attract you into their stores.  That's fine, you can just sort of ignore them and they leave you alone.  The real pests were the time-share hawkers.  They followed us down the sidewalk even after we made it clear real quick that we weren't interested, continuing to tell us what a mistake we were making and how could we pass up this amazingly great deal.

If you go on a cruise and you're in a pair or a group, get some walkie-talkies to keep in touch.  Very handy.  And talk in either CB talk or pirate talk on the radio, it entertains the people who overhear.
