In other bad times, fashion decreed longer skirts, and women seemed to sense that hiding out in clothes was a smart idea when men were out of work, and drinking.
But, today, it is drinking and drugging when you can't find a job. So wives and girlfriends are showing up in greater numbers than ever at safe houses...
...And the naked bodies of women are road kill. When men cannot find work, and are made to feel useless, and degraded, their lunatic fringe acts out. It occurs to those sick minds that rape delivers the same sense of power as bringing home a paycheck. If this narcotic fades too fast for the truly twisted, then a good mauling and killing provide a high that is longer-lasting.
Rapists and killers don't need porno to get them going. They have real life women, almost nude, all the time. Normal guys will look twice, smile and move on. Crazies feel the urge to act on their murderous fantasies.
Showing cleavage was good enough for a while, but then fashion moved on to the sides and then the undersides of breasts, and see-through tops. The thong is nothing more than a naked butt. Perhaps even more vulgar than the butt, unadorned. In front, the thong is starting to shrink so that the beginning of the pubic mound is visible. Ditto jeans deliberately slung too low on the hips.
...For a time, even female news anchors, reporting wars, rumors of wars, mass killings and starvation, wore skirts so short that when they sat down only their fleshy upper thighs hid their crotches. But the cameras never shied away and lingered, like the eyes of a lover, on full-length shots and even close ups. Gratefully, these supposedly intelligent women have given up vulgarity as fashion, and some of the worst offenders are even wearing tailored pants. Apparently, the light bulb above the head appeared, and they saw how they must look, interviewing, or sitting in tandem, with a fully-dressed man, as they tugged at their hiked up, revealing skirts. The worst part is that some of them had bad legs.
