…In today's New York Times, Thomas L. Friedman asks, "Where did Mr. Bush's passion for making the Arab world safe for democracy come from?"
He goes on to say that, after not finding W.M.D, it's the Administration's new rationale for attacking Iraq. Agreed.
But there is something else involved. This is also a religious crusade. Underlying his "passion" is a born-again President's determination to spread Christianity along with Democracy. Mr. Bush and the hard-line Evangelical right, whose thinking he shares, are hell bent to spread the Good Word.
Other nations, whose religions are often referred to, by us, as cults, may also consider Christianity nothing but a competing cult.
