Given that our country is increasingly in the sway of testosterone
maniacs, I don’t hold out big hopes for a civilized intellectual, and
empathetic campaigner such as Obama..
Construction workers (if we still have any) who whistle and make
sucking sounds at hotties walking by their sites are what the
breast and crotch worshipping young white male wants. And if he can help
make her vice president, he can glam her more often on TV, and imagine her in a cat
fight over him or, better yet, in bed with him. No more fusty dusty old dudes running the
country, with Sarah Pallin in waiting.
Obama is O.K. but this guy is not about to belly up to the bar
for a beer; he’s not one of us. The last thing these man/children want is a snippy
know-it-all intellectual. Think Al Gore. Think John Kerry. Think Adlai Stevenson.
Think Hillary Clinton. So election after election they vote against their own interests.
To the ash heap with all those head scratchers, book-learnin, women-in-pants who never
walked a thin piece of steel high up in the sky,
while you and I stare down into the abyss.
