Malaria kills upwards of a million people a year, primarily children in Africa. It's long been known that mosquitos transmit the malaria parasite but eliminating the disease has been difficult. But now scientists have cracked the genetic codes for both the parasite and the mosquitos that spread it, giving hope to finding a cure within 5-10 years.

There is a lot of negative news swirling about. Thought this was some positive news to celebrate.
