Some of us believe the 2002 election is one of the most important in this country in decades. Should the Republicans retain the House and win the Senate, W could implement in two years an incredibly destructive agenda that could take years to reverse (assuming reversal will be possible).
For those of you want to keep score at home on election night, I have developed a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet bursting at the seams with incumbent and candidate data, winners' fields, predictions and automatic totaling capabilities for all Governor, Senate and House races. Just head over to my 2002 Election Spreadsheet to download the file and read the user notes.
The predictions are all mine and based on web research, including incumbancy, polls, others' predictions, get-out-the-vote efforts, some newspaper articles and gut feelings. The good news is that I see Democratic gains in all three areas, although not enough to retake the House. Gains in Governorships could be substantial. Check it out. If you find any errors, I'd be interested to hear about them so I can fix them before election night.
Don't say I never provided any content.
