The least surprising headline of the day comes from the BBC          'Saddam Trial Will Not Be Fair' Now that's a real shocker, particularly given the fact that Saddam has chosen French lawyer Jacques 'Uh-Oh' Verges as his defense attorney. Jacques has had a remarkably consistent career of picking that perfect client. In other cases, Jacques has defended Nazi Klaus Barbie, Slobodan Milosevic, and Carlos the Jackal. Verges has told the BBC that he believes Hussein will be killed before the trial, but with a lawyer like this, why bother? 9:23:06 AM    comment []
